Hero MotoCorp has finally launched the much awaited Xoom 110 scooter. A derivative of the Maestro Edge 110, the scooter is positioned as a sporty alternative to the Maestro Edge series.
In terms of looks, the scooter gets a totally revamped design as compared to other Hero scooters. It gets a fascia that stands out, gets a LED projector headlamp and an H-shaped LED DRL as well. The rear comes with H-shaped LED tail lights as well. Overall, the looks of the two-wheeler can be described as edgy and aggressive.
The scooter also comes with a longer wheelbase of 1,300 mm. In comparison, the maestro Edge has a 1,261 mm wheelbase. In terms of width as well, the Xoom is narrower than the Edge. That said, when seeing the height of the two scooters, the Xoom is quite shorter. The Xoom measures 1,177 mm compared to 1,800 mm of the Edge.
The front suspension consists of telescopic fork suspension and the rear gets a single shock absorber. Hero has equipped the Xoom with 12-inch alloys on both ends. The base LX and mid VX get drum brakes while the ZX comes with a front disc brake.
Other features on the scooter include Corner Bend Lamps, a fully digital console, phone battery status, smartphone connectivity, real-time fuel economy indicator and phone alerts.
Colour options include Polestar Blue, Black, Matt Abrax Orange and Pearl Silver White.
Hero has equipped the Maestro Xoom with the same 110.9cc unit from the Pleasure + and the Maestro Edge 110. This engine develops 8.05 BHP @ 7,250 rpm and 8.7 Nm of peak torque @ 5,750 rpm. That said, by managing to shelve the weight of the scooter, despite increasing the dimensions will make this pretty peppy to ride.
Hero Xoom LX – INR 68,599
Hero Xoom VX – INR 71,799
Hero Xoom ZX – INR – 76,699
