Hero MotoCorp has filed a design patent for what appears to be the upcoming Karizma XMR 250. The new model is speculated to be a sportier version of the Karizma XMR 210, featuring several key design upgrades and a more powerful engine.
The patent images reveal a sleek, fully-faired motorcycle with a design inspired by the Hero 2.5R Xtunt Concept. The front end features integrated winglets and a headlight divided into two angular pods, while the rear end showcases connected LED taillights and a charging flap. The bike is equipped with upside-down (USD) forks for improved handling and a redesigned fuel tank.
The Karizma XMR 250 is expected to be powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, a significant upgrade from the 210cc engine in the XMR 210. The engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox, although exact performance specifications are yet to be confirmed. The bike also features disc brakes on both wheels, with the front disc being larger than that of the XMR 210.
Hero MotoCorp has not officially confirmed the identity of the new motorcycle, but the design patent suggests that the Karizma XMR 250 could be unveiled at the EICMA 2024 show. The company aims to capture the market with this sportier model, hoping to revive the Karizma series’ popularity.
