Getting the Vida V1 and V1 Pro electric scooters gets easier. Hero has provided a big price drop for the scooters. With that into effect, the prices for the scooters stand at INR 1.20 lakh and INR 1.40 lakh, respectively. These prices are in ex-showroom, India including the FAME II subsidy as well as the portable charger.
With the revised prices of the Vida V1 electric scooter, it makes it significantly cheaper. Back when it launched in October 2022 the V1 was retailed at INR 1.45 lakh, while the V1 Pro retailed at INR 1.59 lakh. At the launch time only it seemed these prices were much higher than what was expected. With the reduction in prices, the Vida V1 will become much more desirable and accessible than before. And then with additional subsidies offered by some states, the price goes down even more.
There are some differentiating features of the Vida V1. As it is the only scooter in the segment to feature removable batteries. Removable batteries make it far more convenient for riders to charge the scooter.
The Vida V1 Plus uses a 3.44kWh battery that comes with a claimed range of 143 km. Meanwhile, the V1 Pro gets a larger 3.94kWh battery, with a higher claimed range of 165 km. Both variants use the same electric motor that makes 6kW peak power.
Besides the price drop, Vida is also aggressively expanding its presence in the country. There are plans to spread its reach to 100 cities by this year. As it stands Vida is available in Delhi, Jaipur and Bengaluru. But, we are told that they have already begun expanding to Calicut, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nasik, Hyderabad, Chennai, Nagpur, and Kochi.
