Hero MotoCorp has launched its premium motorcycle in the international market by launching Hero Hunk 150R in Bangladesh. The company is also confident about the upcoming festive season and expects a rise in demand. With the increase in the pace of Covid-19 vaccination, customers are finally hitting the showrooms in healthy numbers.
Hero MotoCorp has also partnered with the district administration of Haridwar to extend its support for the Covid-19 vaccination drive. Hero has deployed two mobile medical vans to aid this vaccination drive. These vans will help mobilize the specially-abled people and take the Covid-19 jab. Recently, Hero MotoCorp also celebrated its 10th anniversary by creating a Guinness World Record. The company made the ‘Largest motorcycle logo’ with the world’s best-selling motorcycle Splendor+.
The motorcycle segment accounted for 4,20,609 units of sales in August 2021. Meanwhile, for August 2020, the figure stood at 5,44,658 units. The scooter segment saw a total sales of 33,270 units for August 2021, as against 39,798 units for the same period last year. The total domestic sales stood at 4,31,137 units. With the growing trend for electric vehicles in the market, Hero MotoCorp will soon have its representative in this segment. The company has already teased its offering. Though we do not have details of the product, we can anticipate a few points, of which one key aspect is the powertrain. As Ather and Hero MotoCorp are in a partnership, this suggests that Hero MotoCorp might borrow the powertrain from Ather. There are official dates as of yet for the launch. But, the chances are that we might see the Hero MotoCorp EV two-wheeler before the end of this year.
