Hero MotoCorp has announced its sales report for the month of April 2022. The two-wheeler maker posted a total sales of 4.19 lakh units. With a growth figure of 12.4 per cent, the sales figures got better from April 2021’s figure. The sales growth also indicates the recovery of the economy and improving consumer sentiments post the Covid situation. For motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp posted a total sales of 3,92,627 units, up from 3,39,329 units in the same period last year. In the scooter segment, Hero MotorCorp sold a total of 25,995 units. Meanwhile, the figure for April 2021 stood at 32,956 units. Domestic sales accounted for 3,98,490 units, and exports contributed to 20,132 units.
Hero MotoCorp recently partnered with the Directorate of Indian Army Veterans to hand over Hero Destini 125 scooters. Thes scooters will serve the soldiers who were disabled while in service. These scooters get the support of two auxiliary wheels in the rear, thus providing a safe and convenient riding experience. As of now, the company has already handed over more than 100 such retro-fitted Destini scooters to the soldiers.
To upskill and train two-wheeler market technicians across the country on BS-VI Technology, Hero MotoCorp has collaborated with the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) for “Project Jeevika”. As a part of this, the company has already trained more than 6000 technicians through TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) ecosystem.
The two-wheeler maker also handed over 250 Hero Glamour motorcycles to the Haryana Forest department and Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA). This was to commemorate World Earth this year. Moreover, this also proves their commitment to preserving biological diversity under the Project Hero Green Drive.
Hero MotoCorp was recently honoured with Self Certification Status for Indian Army Supplies by DGQA – Director General Quality Assurance. The certification recognises the best quality procedures, processes and products in the automobile industry.
