Hero MotorCorp has announced its sales figure for the calendar year 2020. The company mentioned that its global sales have grown by around 71 per cent in the worldwide market. The figure for the calendar year 2020 stood at 1.69 units for outside India markets. And for 2021, the company sold over 2.89 lakh units. This includes both motorcycles and scooters spread across markets in Asia, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean and Africa.
Under the new strategy of R4, which is Recalibrate, Revitalize, Revolutionize and Revive, Hero MotoCorp is witnessing significant growth. The sales have been hit hard due to various factors like the Covid-19 pandemic and the constraints in global logistics and supply chain. But Hero MotoCorp has mentioned that they are well on track to achieve 15 per cent of the company’s total volumes from its global business by 2025.
Hero MotoCorp posted a total sales of 394,773 units of motorcycles and scooters for December 2021. This includes both domestic as well as the global market. Compared to the November 2021 figure, which stood at 349,393 units, this results in a growth of 13 per cent. All in all, in the third quarter of FY22, Hero MotoCorp posted a total sales of 12,92,136 units. To attract more customers to the showrooms, Hero MotoCorp introduced two new motorcycles in the third quarter. First is the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition, and second is the XPulse 200 4 Valve. In the scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp announced the new Pleasure XTec.
Currently, the two-wheeler manufacturer has its presence in over 42 countries spread across three continents. With the opening of businesses in the global market, Hero MotoCorp is accelerating its global expansion plans. In the third quarter of this current financial year, Hero MotoCorp inaugurated a new dealership in Dubai. The company also added a flagship dealership in Bueno Aires in Argentina. Going forward, Hero MotoCorp will try to further boost its business in the overseas market and enhance its footprint.
