The festive season always offers automakers a chance of boosting their sales. With the customers’ buying sentiments running high, automakers do their all to attract maximum customer engagement. Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters too followed a similar path.
The two-wheeler maker registered a healthy double-digit retail growth of 20 percent over the corresponding festive period of FY’22. Thus consolidating its leadership in the domestic two-wheeler market. There was a positive turnaround in customer sentiment in the just concluded 32-day festive period. It started from the first day of Navratri and ran till the day after Bhai Duj. This period has also enabled the company to register a significant gain in its market share.
The Company’s festival season retails were majorly driven by the strong performance of its popular models across segments. This includes the 100cc Splendor+, 125cc motorcycles Glamour and Super Splendor, and the XPulse range in the premium segment. The festive season also witnessed strong customer demand for the Destini range of scooters. These too witnessed double-digit growth for Hero MotoCorp.
The sales were led by high demand across key states such as Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Karnataka. To mark the beginning of this year’s auspicious festive season, Hero MotoCorp, announced the Hero GIFT- Grand Indian Festival of Trust. Under this initiative, Hero MotoCorp launched an exciting range of model refreshes, retail benefits, a slew of financing schemes, pre-booking offers, and much more.
With the opening up of businesses, the demand too is running high. The sales figures have now breached the pre-Covid levels, thus indicating a full recovery of the economy. With customers stepping out of their homes, the showrooms too are witnessing more footballs. This in turn is boosting the sales figure significantly. Industry experts suggest that we would see this trend continue till the end of this year at least.
