At the Hero World 2024, Hero MotoCorp unveiled a ‘Commemorative Edition’ motorcycle completely custom built by the company. Hero MotorCorp revealed that the brand’s flagship Karizma XMR is the base of the new Karizma CE motorcycle. In addition to this, the Hero Karizma CE will have a limited run of just 100 units making it a true collector’s item.
The motorcycle commemorates the 100th anniversary of the founder of the Hero Group, Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Hence, Hero MotoCorp plans to commence deliveries of the Karizma CE on 1st July 2024. This also marks the beginning of his 101st birth year.
What is Karizma CE Limited Edition Motorcycle?
Hero MotorCorp reveals that the Karizma CE’s concept, design and development has been done in-house at Hero MotoCorp’s Centre of Innovation and Technology, Jaipur. The Hero Karizma CE uses the Hero Karizma XMR as base, which is the brand’s flagship motorcycle. The Karizma CE features a half fairing design monumentalising the original Karizma (225). This also helps reduce the weight of the Karizma CE further improving the performance of the motorcycle. The motorcycle also gets a complete refreshment on the fairing design.
How is it Different from the Karizma XMR?
The brand also claims to use the most premium technologies, materials and components available. The motorcycle comes with upside down front forks, a chopped off windscreen, a single seat, and an Akrapovic exhaust system. The swingarm is also completely different from the production-run Karizma XMR. The bike also features carbon-fibre side panels, fenders and chain cover. In addition to this, the Karizma CE also gets a hydraulically-operated clutch. In addition to this, the handlebar of the motorcycle is completely new giving it a street fighter stance. Furthermore, the Karizma CE will also come with a commemorative plaque on the side in aluminium with the limited edition number.
Powering the Karizma CE will be the same 210cc 4-valve single-cylinder DOHC engine with liquid cooling. The engine produces 25.5 PS of power and 20.4 Nm of torque as standard. The motor comes with a 6-speed transmission and in case of the Karizma CE it comes with hydraulic clutch operation.
