At the 2023 EICMA Show, Hero MotoCorp unveiled an intriguing concept motorcycle named the Concept 2.5R, focusing on stunt riding. Alongside this, Hero MotoCorp also unveiled Hero Xoom 125R, Xoom 160, and Vida V1 Pro at EICMA. With a slew of new products, Hero is fully ready to take on the Indian market.
The Concept 2.5R is derived from Hero’s fully-faired bike, the Karizma XMR, and it’s evident from the one released image that it shares the same chassis as the XMR. Notably, the engine casings also appear identical, suggesting that this stunt bike will be powered by the same 210cc liquid-cooled engine delivering 25 BHP, found in the XMR.
Although detailed specifications remain scarce at the moment, it’s expected that this concept will transition into production later in the year. Hero MotoCorp has gradually expanded its presence in the premium motorcycle segment, recently introducing models like the Karizma XMR and the Harley-Davidson X440. With the 2.5R Xtunt, the company, based in Gurgaon, aims to compete with popular bikes like the Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM Duke 250, and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
The expected price tag for the production version of this bike is around INR 1.65 lakh, and it’s likely to come in various vibrant colour options. Hero MotoCorp has showcased the Concept 2.5R at the 2023 EICMA Show, positioning it as a stunt bike. This concept motorcycle is based on the Karizma XMR, sharing its chassis and engine, and is expected to enter production later in the year. With the 2.5R Xtunt, Hero MotoCorp aims to compete with established rivals in the premium segment, offering a potentially attractive option for riders seeking a stunt-ready bike. The expected price range is around INR 1.65 lakh, which will likely provide a range of eye-catching colour choices.
