Hero MotoCorp has been spamming us with multiple teasers of the Mavrick. Not that we are complaining, as we get excited every time some new information comes out about the motorcylce. Hero has released another teaser of its upcoming motorcycle, the Mavrick 440. The motorcycle, which is co-developed with Harley-Davidson, is scheduled to be launched in the third week of February.
The new teaser reveals some of the design details of the Mavrick 440, which is expected to be a neo-retro roadster with a muscular and aggressive look. One might find some similarities with the Ducati Diavel. The bike will feature a round LED headlamp with an H-shaped DRL, a robust fuel tank with prominent extensions, a sleek tail section, a single-piece stepped-up seat, and a stubby exhaust. It could also get a wide rear tyre for a bolder look. The bike will also get a circular instrument cluster, possibly a full-color TFT unit with connectivity options.
The Mavrick 440 will share the same 440 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with the Harley-Davidson X 440, which produces 27 hp and 38 Nm of torque. However, the tuning and performance of the engine may differ on this motorcycle. The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The Mavrick 440 will also differ from the X 440 in terms of suspension and braking components. The Hero bike will get a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, while the Harley bike gets an upside-down fork and a twin-shock setup. The Mavrick 440 will also get disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS.
The Mavrick 440 will be the most premium motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp, and will compete with the likes of Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Jawa 42, and Honda CB350RS in the Indian market. The bike is likely to be priced under ₹3 lakh.
