Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of Passion XTec. The motorcycle is available in two variants, drum brake and disc brake. The price tag for each reads as INR 74,590 (ex-showroom) and INR 78,990 (ex-showroom), respectively. Hero MotoCorp also highlighted the motorcycle’s 5-year warranty.
The company mentioned XTec as the perfect combination of style, safety, connectivity and comfort. The XTec gets a slew of segment-first features. This includes the likes of Projector LED Headlamp, Full-Digital Instrument Cluster with Bluetooth Connectivity, SMS and Call Alerts, Real-Time Mileage Indicator, Low-Fuel Indicator, Side-Stand Engine Cut-Off and Service Reminder. Passion is one of the most sought-after nameplates in the country. Now with these updates, the motorcycle has become even more desirable. Furthermore, other XTec range of products which includes Splendor+ XTec, Glamour 125 XTec, Pleasure 110 XTec and Destini 125 XTec, have also received an overwhelming response from customers. Thus Hero aims to replicate the same with its Passion brand as well.
First, we will talk about the connectivity features. The rider now benefits from a fully digital speedometer console with a blue backlight. This gives necessary details like phone call alerts with caller names, missed calls and SMS notifications. It also gets an integrated USB charging port. Moreover, it also displays phone battery percentage, real-time mileage indicator, service schedule reminder, and low fuel indicator. In terms of safety, the motorcycle has a side-stand visual indication and a ‘Side-stand Engine cut-off’.
Furthermore, the motorcycle also comes with an option of a disc brake and a Combi Braking System (CBS) for better handling. Passion XTec also has first-in-segment projector LED headlamps. Hero claims it as the best in segment brightness with a 12% longer beam than the conventional halogen lamp. Mechanically Passion XTec remains the same. It continues with the 110cc BS-VI compliant engine producing a remarkable power output of 9 BHP @ 7500 rpm and torque on demand of 9.79 NM @ 5000 rpm.
