Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has officially commenced nationwide deliveries of its flagship model, the Mavrick 440. The first units were handed over to customers at the Hero Premia outlet in Gurugram.
The Mavrick 440 marks a significant milestone for Hero MotoCorp as it ventures into the premium 300-500cc space. The bike is based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440, but it boasts a different feature-set and simpler componentry.
The Mavrick 440 is powered by an air/oil-cooled, 440cc, single-cylinder motor. The engine is rated for 27 hp at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Despite the peak torque being slightly lower than the Harley-Davidson X440, the Mavrick 440 doesn’t feel much slower in real-world conditions.
The bike also features a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch, providing a smooth and comfortable riding experience.
The Hero Mavrick 440 is available in three variants: (All prices are ex-showroom, India)
It features smartphone connectivity and gets alloy wheels as standard, finished in Phantom Black and Enigma Black colours.
The Mavrick 440 is set to rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Honda CB350, Jawa 350, and Triumph Speed 400.
