Hero has launched a new variant of the XPulse range of motorbikes. The Hero XPulse 200T 4 Valve is priced at INR 1,25,726 (ex-showroom).

What’s new in the Hero XPulse 200T 4 Valve?

As the name suggests, the biggest change is in the form of an upgraded engine. Hero claims that this oil-cooled engine offered 6 percent more power and 5 percent extra torque compared to the earlier engine. This extra power and torque results in a relaxed and stress-free ride, especially at higher speeds. Further, Hero has re-tuned the power-torque curve and revised the gearbox ratios.

The BS-VI 200cc 4 valve engine puts out a maximum power of 19.1 PS @ at 8,500 RPM and a peak  torque of 17.3 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

Other features remain more or less the same. In terms of design, the bike now gets a neo-retro styling with graphics and unique colour options. These include the Sports Red, Matt Funk Lime Yellow and Matt Shield Gold. It gets a circular full-LED headlamp and a new LED position lamp that sits 20 mm lower than before, thereby enhancing the bike’s look.

Other Features of the XPulse 200T 4 Valve

Apart from the new engine, Hero is also offering a range of intelligent technologies on this bike. These include the fully-digital LCD instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity with call alert, turn-by-turn navigation, underseat USB charger, gear position indicator and side-stand engine cut off amongst others.

Touring credentials of the Hero XPulse 200T 4 Valve

Hero has positioned this new XPulse as a tourer. Hence it gets some features that make it a good bike to munch miles on. These include 37 mm front telescopic forks with a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the back and  a 130-mm wide radial rear tyre for greater on-road grip.

The USB charger ensures that your phone is charged through out the ride while the 276 mm front and 220 mm rear petal disc brakes offer confidence to the rider and ensure complete control of the bike in all situations.
