Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its latest electric scooter range, the Vida V2 Pro, Plus, and Lite, in India. Prices start at INR 96,000 and go all the way up to INR 1.35 lakh.
The Vida V2 Lite is priced at INR 96,000, the Plus at INR 1.15 lakh, and the Pro at INR 1.35 lakh (all ex-showroom). Each variant comes with a removable battery pack, making charging convenient at home or on the go. The Lite offers a range of 94 km, the Plus 143 km, and the Pro an impressive 165 km on a single charge.
Powering the V2 scooters is a swingarm-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), delivering a peak power of 6 kW and 25 Nm torque. The Pro variant boasts a top speed of 90 km/h, while the Lite and Plus offer speeds of 69 km/h and 85 km/h, respectively. The scooters come with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, turn-by-turn navigation, and keyless entry for added convenience.
The Pro variant features four riding modes: Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom, allowing riders to tailor their experience. Safety is a priority, with features like regenerative braking, multiple airbags, and advanced battery state-of-charge indicators.
Compared to the Vida V1 series, the V2 scooters offer several upgrades. The Vida V1 Pro and Plus models had a top speed of 80 km/h and a range of 143 km, while the Vida V2 Pro increases the top speed to 90 km/h and extends the range to 165 km. Both series feature similar safety and technology features, but the Vida V2 scooters come with a more powerful motor and improved battery technology.
Hero MotoCorp aims to democratize clean mobility with the new V2 range. The launch is expected to attract eco-conscious consumers looking for reliable and feature-packed electric scooters.
