Hero Xpulse 200 gets a new Topple Alert Feature available via the Hero Connect connectivity platform. The two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced the Hero Connectivity Platform for select models at INR 4,999 for a one-year subscription. Initially, connected tech was first popularized in the car segment. But now, even the two-wheeler manufacturers are also equipping their products with this tech.
Based on the Hero Connectivity Platform, this Topple Feature is a lifesaver for the rider. If the Xpulse 200 topples due to an accident, the Hero App will send automatic notifications and SMS to the emergency contacts. The notification is also sent to the registered mobile number with the Xpulse 200.
In fact, the user can also select the emergency contacts to which the notification will be sent. This feature is an example of the perfect use of technology in today’s time. The notification will alert the contacts that the rider is in danger and take necessary steps as early as possible. Hero is planning to expand this Hero Connect platform to other products as well. Currently, it is available with Xtreme 160R, Xpulse 200, Destini 125, Pleasure+ and Pleasure+ Platinum as an optional addition.
The Hero Connect system makes use of an embedded e-SIM that can communicate with the cellular network. This acts as the interface for the communication between the device and application and enables a host of features. One such great addition is the tow-away alert feature. In case the device detects any unauthorized movement, it will send a notification to the rider. The other features included with this Hero Connectivity are geo-fence, real-time vehicle tracking, motorcycle locator and more. The rider can also track numerous riding-related statistics like route selected, time taken, distance travelled, and more. The user also has the feature to set up a speed limit, and the device will notify in case it detects overspeeding.
