Hero MotoCorp launches new Passion Pro with BS6 engine at INR 64,990

Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Passion Pro at the price of INR 64,990 ex-showroom, Delhi for the Drum Brake variant and INR 67,190 ex-showroom, Delhi for the Disc Brake variant. Both the variants come with alloy wheels and self start as standard part of the pack. 

The new Hero Passion Pro is powered by a BS6 emission compliant 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 9.02 bhp of power and 9.79 Nm of torque coupled to a constant mesh gearbox. The fuel delivery on the Hero Passion Pro is through a Programmed Fuel Injection system and the brand claims that it can deliver 9% more power with 22% more torque output as compared to the BS4 engine. The engine on the Hero Passion Pro BS6 is also shared by its sibling the Hero Splendor iSmart BS6. 

In terms of mechanical hardware, the Hero Passion Pro BS6 features a diamond frame chassis that rides on the telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers mounted on a swingarm. The brand claims that the updated suspension provides a 14% increased front fork travel, 10% increased travel on the rear suspension and 9% increase in its ground clearance. 

The new Hero Passion Pro features a new halogen headlamp, a signature sleek tail lamp, body-coloured mudguard, body-coloured headlight garnish and a black flyscreen. The Hero Passion Pro also features angular extension on its muscular fuel tank, sleek rear cowling, a high mounted ergonomic handlebar, new auto-sail technology, digital-analogue instruments console with real-time mileage indicator, i3S (idle Start Stop System) a scooped seat and black finish grab rails. 

The new Hero Passion Pro comes with triple tone graphics and four paint options – Moon Yellow, Techno Blue, Sports Red and Glaze Black. The new Passion Pro rivals the likes of the TVS Radeon BS6 and Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear in the commuter motorcycle segment. The Passion Pro is only INR 90 more expensive than its sibling the Hero Splendor iSmart BS6, which may find some competition at home.
