Hero MotoCorp launches Splendor iSmart BSVI motorcycle for INR 64,900

Hero MotoCorp has launched their first BSVI compliant motorcycle which is the Splendor iSmart priced at INR 64,900 ex-showroom. Hero MotoCorp was also the first two-wheeler brand to get the BSVI certificate from iCAT. With the Splendor iSmart, Hero MotoCorp has also introduced the country’s first 110cc fuel-injected motor. This is a phased launch and the bike will start sales from Delhi NCR initially with introduction happening nationwide in the weeks to come. Hero MotoCorp will be offering the BSVI Splendor iSmart in blue + black, red + black, silver + grey colour options. The bike is available in drum brake and disc brake variants.

The updated Hero MotoCorp Splendor iSmart rides on a new diamond chassis and the brand is now offering more front suspension travel. The bike has higher ground clearance and also gets longer wheelbase for better stability. Hero MotoCorp has now increases +15mm of front suspension and now has 180mm of ground clearance with an increased +36mm on wheelbase.

The bike is powered by a 110cc, BSVI compliant, fuel-injected petrol motor producing 9 BHP of power @ 7500 RPM and 9.89 Nm of torque @ 5500 RPM. The engine comes with i3S technology with Idle-Start-Stop system which will improve the motorcycle mileage. With a sensor based fuel-injection, the motor now produces 10% more torque and produces 88% less NOx emissions.

The Hero MotoCorp Splendor iSmart has a kerb weight of 116 kg and fuel tank capacity of 9.5L. The bike measures 2048mm of length, 726mm on width, 1110mm  on height, 1270mm of wheelbase and seat height of 799mm. The bike rides on tubeless tyres 80/100/R18 tyres.
