Hero MotoCorp has launched the XPulse 200T in the BS6 avatar at the price of INR 1,12,800 ex-showroom. The Hero XPulse 200T is the road-biased iteration of the popular Hero XPulse 200 which comes with more off-road equipment. Compared to the BS4 XPulse 200T the BS6 model costs INR 17,300 but comes with a new Oil-Cooled engine, electronic fuel injection and a larger catalytic converter to conform to the stringent new emission norms. The Hero XPulse 200T BS6 is available in three colour options – Matte Shield Gold, Sports Red and Panther Black.
The BS6 Hero XPulse 200T feature the same design language as the BS4 model and continues to feature a muscular fuel tank, rounded headlamps with LED lighting, a pod-style fully digital instruments cluster with computer-enabled RideGuide App, wide open-chested handlebar, 17-inch alloy wheels, road-biased tubeless radial tyres, road-spec suspension, ergonomic seats, a tail section similar to the XPulse 200 etc.
The new BS6 engine comes with the same 199.6cc displacement but now comes with a new oil-cooler to improve the thermodynamics and an advanced electronic fuel injection system that helps the single-cylinder 4-Stroke 2-Valve OHC motor to develop 18.1 PS of power and 16.15 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The motorcycle features a diamond frame chassis that rides on a 37mm diameter hydraulic telescopic front fork suspension with anti-friction bushing and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock suspension.
Recently, Hero MotoCorp announced that the brand has crossed the 10,000 sales landmark in the state of Kerala. The motorcycle also received the Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) 2020, the most prestigious award in the two-wheeler industry with the launch of the new BS6 XPulse 200T the brand also expects the motorcycle to make similar sales progress. However, the XPulse 200 which is just INR 2,430 more than the 200T comes with a 21-inch front, 18-inch rear off-road spoke-wire rims shod in dual-sport tyres, knuckle guard, a high mount front fender, high-mount exhaust, more ground clearance, long-travel suspension with 10-step adjustability in the rear.
