Hero MotoCorp Karizma XMR 210 sports bike arriving soon

Everyone is pretty aware of the fan following of the Hero Honda Karizma. During its time it enjoyed a massive following. All thanks to the radical VFR-inspired big-motorcycle looks and the 223cc engine at its heart. But sadly, Hero’s attempts to keep the model alive after the split with Honda all went wrong. The later ZMR guise of the Karizma never really took off, and eventually, it was axed from the lineup and went to the history books.

But there is some good news. Recently, as per sources, Hero is trying to bring back the Karizma nametag. We say this because Hero recently filed two trademarks. This pretty much suggests a return of the Karizma. At the same time, we can also take some estimated guesses around the same.

What Do We Know So Far?

The first trademark which we are aware of is for Karizma ZMR. We assume this is the full name that the new motorcycle is likely to carry. The second trademark gives more hints, Karizma ZMR x210. From the 210 keyword, we are pretty sure, Hero is referring to the displacement figure of the reborn Karizma.

Currently, Hero already has an oil-cooled, 4-valve 200cc motor in its Xpulse 200 models. So chances are high that the Karizma could use this engine. But then Hero has to increase the bore and/or stroke to achieve the 210cc displacement figure. However, there are other sources that suggest that Hero might develop a liquid-cooled 210cc engine specifically for the new Karizma.

How Will Hero Position The Karizma?

Karizma was easily the quickest, most capable motorcycle in Hero Honda’s lineup back then. And we expect Hero to follow the same route and strategy this time around as well. Another key highlight is that very likely, the Karizma ZMR will be a fully-faired motorcycle. But one thing is for sure, once the motorcycle hits the market, it will become one of the most sought-after motorcycles in the country.
