Hero MotoCorp Glamour XTEC will get digital speedometer

Hero MotoCorp, in the recent past, filed patents for the XTEC moniker in India. At the time, speculations were that Hero could be planning to bring a sub-200cc enduro motorcycle or a 300cc-400cc adventure bike. Also, assumptions were that the XTEC could be a new electric scooter/motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp.

Now, leaked images of the new Hero MotoCorp Glamour reveal that XTEC is nothing but a fancy name for the latest Glamour motorcycle. The brand could launch the Glamour XTEC soon, which is a thoroughly updated version of the current Glamour. The new Glamour also features a full digital instruments cluster.

New Glamour XTEC

The new Glamour XTEC appears to be the top-of-the-line model, and apart from the cosmetic changes, there seems no sign of any mechanical changes. However, the Glamour XTEC is likely to come with three new colour options, with Grey as the predominant colour. The option includes – Grey Red, Grey Blue and Tecno Black. The Grey Red features grey bodywork with red accents; the Grey Blue gets a grey body and blue design. The colour accents also continue to the alloy wheels of the Glamour.

Updated Features

The new Glamour XTEC is also likely to come with a new LED headlamp and a fully digital instruments cluster. The digital display comes with features such as a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, gear position indicator, service-due indicator and rear time mileage indicator. The console is quite similar to the one on the Hero XPulse and appears to feature a white backlit and Bluetooth connectivity. The new Glamour will also come with i3s (automatic engine start-stop) technology. The brand is also working to improve the fuel efficiency of the engine during the XTEC launch.

Hero Glamour Engine Specifications

The Hero Glamour comes with a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The BS6 compliant engine produces 10.73 bhp of power and 10.6 Nm of torque. The engine features programmed fuel injection with Xsens technology and a 5-speed gearbox.
