Hero MotoCorp recently launched the new Mavrick 440 in the Indian market. The modern roadster motorcycle comes with a long stroke engine and is based on the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle. With a very competitive price point the Hero Mavrick 440 rivals the likes of the mid-segment motorcycle segment in India which includes the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
Hero launched the Mavrick 440 with a starting price tag of INR 1.99 lakh ex-showroom. The motorcycle is available in three variants – Base, Mid and Top. The Mid model comes with a price tag of INR 2.14 lakh ex-showroom and the Top variant comes with a price tag of INR 2.30 lakh ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with a starting price tag of INR 1.93 lakh ex-showroom. The top spec model comes with a price tag of INR 2.25 lakh ex-showroom.
Powering the Hero Mavrick 440 is a 440cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled long-stroke ‘TorX’ engine. The engine produces 27 Bhp of power and 36 Nm of torque. The brand also claims that nearly 90% of the torque delivery begins right from the 2000 rpm range. The motorcycle comes with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip and assist clutch. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with a 349cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled long-stroke J-series engine. The engine produces 20.2 Bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm. The engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox.
The Hero Mavrick 440 gets a Trellis frame that rides on 43 mm telescopic right side up front fork and 7-step adjustable twin shock absorbers on the rear. The suspension offers 130 mm of wheel travel on the front and rear as well as a generous 175 mm of ground clearance. The Mavrick comes with 320 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with a 41 mm telescopic right side up front fork and 6-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with a 130 mm wheel travel and 170 mm of ground clearance. The Classic 350 comes with 300 mm front and 270 mm rear disc brakes.
The Hero Mavrick comes with a 2100 of length, 868mm in width, and wheelbase of 1388mm. The motorcycle comes with a saddle height of 803 mm and a kerb weight of 187 kg. The Mavrick also comes with a 13.5-litre fuel tank and 17-inch wheels on both ends. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with a 2145mm of length, 785mm in width and wheelbase of 1390mm. The bike comes with a seat height of 805 mm weighs 195 kgs at the kerb. The Classic 350 also comes with a 13-litre fuel tank and 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels.
