Hero Lectro, the maker of e-cycles, has announced its price hike across the range of the products. After this, the e-cycles are now dearer by close to 7.5 per cent to 12.8 per cent depending upon the variant. The company mentioned that the rising cost of input materials and freight costs compelled them to take this decision.
Hero Lectro claims that it has the largest and widest range of e-cycle variants in its portfolio. Currently, the company has a total of 14 variants to choose from that include both geared and gearless e-cycles. These cycles have their presence across various segments like commuting, recreation and last-mile delivery. Hero Lectro mentioned that its range of products are of global standards and comes with top-notch quality.
Given the rise in the demand for electric vehicles in the country, e-cycles are also getting increasingly popular. This is also because more customers are now preferring to commute using their personal vehicles as opposed to public transport. Covid-19 has changed our lives significantly, this is evident in the way we travel. In fact, people have also become much more health-conscious, and thus, cycling is getting even more popular. These e-cycles serve both purposes, i.e. as an electric vehicle and as a traditional cycle.
Hero Lectro C series that consists of 10 variants is one of the popular choices amongst the customers. The range starts at INR 28,999 and is available across Hero Lectro’s 600+ dealership network. Furthermore, the company is expanding its network to newer locations, thus making e-cycles available to almost every corner of the country. The flagship product from the brand is the F6i that gets a detachable 11.6 AH battery. Alongside this, the e-cycle also gets features like Bluetooth app connectivity and a USB charging Port. This variant previously came with a sticker price of INR 49,999. But after the price hike, this e-cycle will retail at INR 54,999.
