With the launch of the Hero Karizma, there is a buzz in the market over this new motorcycle. Let us take a look at how the bike fares with the popular Yamaha R15 V4. Here is a price and specification comparison of the same.
The 2023 Karizma XMR 210 has been launched in India with a special introductory price of INR 1,72,800 ex-showroom. Meanwhile, Team Blue sells its popular R15 V4 for INR 1,80,900.
Coming to the dimensions, the 2023 Karizma XMR 210 measures 2,068 mm long, 760 mm wide and is 1,110 mm tall. The wheelbase is 1,351 mm while the seat height is 810 mm. The ground clearance is 160 mm and the fuel tank capacity is 11 litres.
The Yamaha R15 V4 is 1,990 mm long, 725 mm wide and has an overall height of 1,135 mm. The ground clearance and fuel tank capacity reads as 170 mm and 11 litres respectively.
On the Karizma, the suspension duties are handled by 37mm diameter front forks and a rear monoshock with 6-step adjustable pre-load. Brakes include a disc on both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Yamaha R15 V4 gets upside-down front forks while the rear suspension duties are taken care of by a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends. Dual-channel ABS too is standard fitment with the motorcycle.
The Hero Karizma XMR comes with a 210cc liquid cooled engine. This 4V DOHC motor puts out 25 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 20.4 Nm @ 7,250 rpm.A 6-speed gearbox is paired to the engine. It gets slip and assist clutch as standard.
Meanwhile, Yamaha offers the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the R15 V4. This engine gets variable valve actuation (VVA) that churns out 18.1 BHP and 14.2Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a six-speed gearbox aided with an assist and slipper clutch.
