Asia’s biggest motorcycle festival ‘India Bike Week’ has now gone live with its official website where enthusiasts can book tickets. The 2021 India Bike Week Special Edition will be held at Aamby Valley from 4-5th December. The tickets for the event cost INR 1200 + GST for two days and INR 700 + GST for a single day.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event has set multiple protocols for safety purposes. These include customers gaining entry only if they have proof of complete vaccination or a 48-hour old negative RTPCR report. Additionally, customers will also have to wear masks at all times within the venue. Here’s a list of all that’s happening for the ‘IBW 2021 – The Special Edition’.
In this event, customers will revisit their memories with a history lesson via beautiful British motorbikes. Joining these bikes will be the iconic Japanese two-strokes and classics along with poppet valves, ports, overhead cams, and pushrods. Meanwhile, Mod Bikes consist of professionally customized and engineered motorcycles that showcase CNC-aided machining and hand-beaten sheet metal work.
Various genres of motorcycles such as bobbers, drag race-spec bikes, and others will make their presence known at the display. Additionally, the Collector’s Corner will feature exclusive enthusiast-owned bike collections consisting of cruisers, adventure, and off-road motorcycles. Customers will be able to enjoy and share their love for bikes while exploring these spaces.
This show will comprise the best and upcoming stunt riders who will perform physics-defying stunts to raise the adrenaline. During this show, customers can also head indoors to check out 4 biking-themed films or attend the ‘Big Trip Virtual’. Powered by Petronas Sprinta, the event will consist of two adventure bike riders named Sandra and Fiona. By preparing and recording an insightful video, both riders will showcase their adventures to attendees. Additionally, world-renowned custom motorcycle builder Maxwell Hazan will speak to attendees via an exclusive video shot for IBW 2021.
Powered by Petronas Sprinta, this event will consist of curated interactions from @bulubiker, @Valmakry, along with Aditya Kumar, @motobiketrails. Additionally, Vir Nakai, Vijay Parmar, and Ankush Gulati will showcase their film called ‘The High Road’. The film showcases the journey of the first Harley-Davidsons being ridden at an altitude of 18,603 feet in the Himalayas.
The late Gaurav Jani, an Award-winning motorcycle documentary maker, and ardent motorcyclist, will receive a tribute from his close friends. These friends are part of the 60kph club. At the Howling Dog Bar, comedian and auto journalist Tushar Burman will speak about the quirks of the Indian biker.
Powered by Axor, this event will feature ace photographer Ishaan Bhataiya who will display his favourite shoots from Dakkar. Also attending the event will be Pushkar Patil from Broken Asphalt, who will showcase some of his best work. Additionally, Veeraj Patil from VP Designs will explain the art of airbrushing along with displaying some of his previous work.
As the epicentre for the congregation of clubs, Jameson Lounge will ride into the venue from all across the country. Other biker-centric exclusive events consisting of King and Queen of Clubs, a Moto-fashion competition, and strength-based games, will also be held. Additionally, other events such as beard competitions, foosball, and an Open Mic session will also be held.
To liven things up, MIDIval Punditz, DJ Ishani, and DJ Gurbax will be jamming their music at the Main Stage. At the end of each day, the party will continue around the Red Bull event car with its After Hours session. Attendees will witness significant launches from renowned bike manufacturers such as Kawasaki with its Z650RS. Other brands making their appearance known include Hero, KOGO, Petronas, Budweiser, Jameson, Axor, and Ishq FM. For the Honor Roll event, powered by Petronas Sprinta, privateer Ashish Raorane will receive felicitation for his performance at Dakar.
IBW 2021 will feature an EVO Biker’s Mart comprising 60 stalls which will feature multiple accessory and riding-gear brands. These include Rynox, Senna, Dirtsack, Autologue, BMC Air filters, and others. For foodies, Throttle Shottle will set its Cafe Vibe van shop, which will serve snacks and a chai bar. Attendees can also attend the X-Track and X-Drag events, participating in off-roading or drag racing. The event will provide them with the highly capable and striking Hero Xpusle 200 and Hero Xtreme 160R, respectively.
