Triumph is celebrating 60 years of James Bond with a new limited-edition version of the Speed Triple 1200 RR. Priced at GBP 21,995 and of which only 60 units will make it onto the roads worldwide. These ultra-rare Speeds are GBP 4,045 more than standard machines aimed at marking the latest partnership between the two British brands.
The partnership first began with the film No Time To Die. Here we saw Triumph’s Tiger 900 and Scrambler 1200 featuring in action chase scenes. Interestingly, the Speed Triple RR is yet to feature in a Bond film, the pricey special wears a black color scheme complete with all 25 James Bond film titles on the tank. Riders also get 007 graphics and hand-painted gold lining, matching perfectly along the lines of the minimalist bodywork.
Things don’t end there. There’s also the gun barrel design of Bond’s opening film sequence laid out around the circular LED front headlight. Further adding to the exclusiveness is the gold Triumph logo on the petrol tank. As a sign of authenticity, these motorcycles get individual numbers on the top yoke. Alongside there’s also a certificate of authenticity, hand-signed by Triumph’s CEO, Nick Bloor.
Being a Speed Triple 1200 RR, standard features include a host of equipment. These include a semi-active Öhlins finery, along with the same aluminum twin-spar chassis. The motorcycle uses the 178bhp 1160cc liquid-cooled, 12v, inline. Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition tank.
These motorcycles became available to order through Triumph’s official website at 8 AM (IST) on October 4. Noteworthy to mention, each bike also received a special cover to keep the dust away between rides. Indeed a very special edition from Triumph. As far as we understand, Triumph currently has no plans of introducing this special edition Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR for the Indian market.
