Harley-Davidson recently showcased the new XG750R, a purpose-built motorcycle for the dirt track. This is the first time in 44 years Harley Davidson has done something like this.
The XG750R is based on the Street 750 and will make its debut at the AMA Pro Flat Track Springfield Mile at Illinois soon. The bike is tuned for more power and is equipped with Vance & Hines exhausts. Engine limiters of all sorts have been removed to ensure that the bike gets all the power!
Now, here’s the thing. The bike will never enter production and will only be made for the company’s racing division. Not for road going customers.
What a bummer!
