Hero MotoCorp has released a new update with regards to the Harley-Davidson X440. According to the Indian bike maker, the online bookings for the highly anticipated motorcycle will be stopped on 3 August 2023. The move comes after a strong demand for the X440.

According to Hero, the response for the entry level Harley has been overwhelming. While the bike has been launched in India, production is expected to commence only from September 2023. The bike will be made at Hero’s Neemrana plant in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the customer deliveries are planned in October 2023.
Hero is currently working to expand the production capacity at the Neemrana plant.
In terms of pricing, the latest Harley-Davidson is priced from INR 2.29 lakh to INR 2.69 lakh, ex-showroom. As these are introductory prices, Harley is likely to hike the prices after the first lot is delivered.
Once the bookings are stopped, the re-opening date of the bookings is not yet specified. Hence customers wanting to get their hands on this bike at these prices should get their bookings in before the closure date.
Harley-Davidson X440 : More Details
Customers can choose the X440 amongst three variants. These include Denim, Vivid, and ‘S’, The entry level variant Denim is offered in Mustard Denim paint shade. It gets a yellow painted fuel tank with the rest of the bike finished in black. The bike rides on tube tyres shod on wire-spoke wheels. The price is set at INR 2.29 lakh.
The mid-sped Vivid trim gets two colours – Metallic Thick Red and Metallic Dark Silver. Harley is offering alloy wheels on the Vivid trim. Price is set at INR 2.49 lakh.
Meanwhile, the top-end S variant comes in a lone Matte Black colour. It gets machined alloys, 3D decals and most importantly connected features including smartphone connectivity. Other features include maps support using turn-by-turn navigation, phone and SMS alerts and music control. The price is set at INR 2.69 lakh.
All variants of the Harley-Davidson X440 are equipped with a 3.5-inch TFT screen, full-LED lighting, and dual-channel ABS for safety.
In terms of the powertrain, the X440 uses a 440cc, single-cylinder engine. This motor produces 27 BHP of power and 38 Nm of torque. The engine uses a six-speed gearbox.
