Harley-Davidson has launched a video on its official social media channels celebrating the company’s 118-year old history. The theme of the film on Harley-Davidson Forever and it celebrates the completion of another decade out of the many and also shares the bond with India and its diverse and vibrant culture. During the montage also asks “What makes Harley-Davidson Harley-Davidson?” and other rhetorical questions that make the brand’s journey even more interesting.
In the Indian market, the brand has been operating for more than a decade but recently the company announced that it will be shutting down the Bawal manufacturing facility and scaling down the sales office in Gurugram. This indicated that the brand would be exiting the Indian market owing to the fall in sales. The COVID-19 pandemic only just added to the troubles.
But recently, Harley-Davidson announced that the brand has partnered with the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp in the Indian market and the Indian strategic partner will help Harley-Davidsons’s customers to easily transition with the new partner. The brand also announced that Hero MotoCorp will be taking on the responsibilities from sales, service, spares, merchandise, accessories, warranties and H.O.G activities for the brand in India from January 2021 onwards.
In the international market, the brand is also working on introducing the all-new Harley-Davidson Pan America at a virtual event held on 19th January 2021. The event is called H-D-21 and it pledges to bring the whole world together through the single event. This is the first time that the American brand has taken the digital approach to launch its motorcycle. The brand will also be introducing new parts and accessories as well as riding gear and apparel at the H-D-21 event.
Furthermore, the Pan-America Adventure-style motorcycle will be revealed in full on the 22nd February 2021 in a separate virtual event. The brand has also announced that American Actor, Producer and Motorcycle Enthusiast Jason Mamoa will share his experience of the Harley-Davidson Pan-America on 19th of January 2021.
