Harley-Davidson recalls Sportster S cruiser bike

Harley Davidson has announced the recall of 3,917 units of the Pan America 1250 and Sportster S models. As per reports, this voluntary safety recall will fix a software issue linked with the instrument cluster. The issue, as reported by riders, states that both the speedometer and neutral gear indicator fail to display when the ambient temperature is zero degrees or below. This is a critical issue for riders riding in such adverse conditions without any idea about the vehicle speed. As per records, Pan America 1250, sold in the US market between May 24 to October 19 2021, are facing this issue.

Meanwhile, the Sportster S models manufactured between May 21 to December 13 2021, are victims of this issue. As part of this recall, Harley Davidson will fix it via a free software update without any charges. Customers can visit their nearest Harley-Davidson dealership to get it fixed. Noteworthy to mention that this is the second time that Harley-Davidson has recalled the Pan America 1250. Previously the motorcycle has to fix an issue with the seat base. For the Indian customers, Harley Davidson has not issued a recall.
