Harley-Davidson has introduced the Forty-Eight Special cruiser motorcycle in India at a price of INR 10.98 lakh. The Forty-Eight has always been a popular model in the brands Sportster category and the ‘Special’ edition adds some extra flair.
Powering the Forty-Eight Special is a 1,202cc, V-Twin engine producing 96 Nm of torque @ 4250 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle has an emulsion rear shock absorber with pre-load adjustment, 130mm front tyre, 49mm front forks, forged aluminium trip-clamp handlebar. 7.25″ high handlebar in gloss black.
The 2019 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Special comes with a custom tank decals reminiscent of the 70’s styling, dark custom livery, split 9-spoke cast aluminium wheels, and a single seat option as stock.
Harley-Davidson motorcycles are becoming rare these days. The premium motorcycle segment is seeing Japanese brands sell bikes like hot cakes, while Harley-Davidson which initially took off in style now sees slow pace of bikes moving out of the dealerships.
