Harley-Davidson has introduced the Limited Edition FDXR 114 in the UK and Ireland markets in a limited production run limited to just 30 units equivalent to one motorcycle per dealership and the Softtail features a special paint and equipment to distinguish it from the standard.
The special paint is white, black and gold with a matt clear coat which is applied by a UK-based design house, Image Design Custom. The custom paint also includes limited edition badging, Harley-Davidson’s modern design logo and pinstripes. The drag-inspired FDXR 114 which comes with clip-on handlebars are replaced with straight drag-style handlebars with ‘Fat Ape’ bar risers and longer cables to match the high positioning.
In terms of its styling and features, the Harley-Davidson FDXR 114 features LED Daymaker headlamps, LED rear lighting, LED turn signal indicators, digital instruments, keyless entry, headlamp shrouds, small flyscreen, chopped fenders, stretched fuel tank, step-up seating, NHRA Drag bikes inspired air intakes and two-into-one exhaust.
Powering the Harley-Davidson FDXR 114 Limited Edition is the 1,868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin cylinder air-cooled engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection that produces 90 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed transmission. The FDXR 114 comes with race-style upside-down front forks with a 34-degree rake angle and a Softail frame with an adjustable monoshock rear suspension while preserving a hardtail look.
The Harley-Davidson FDXR 114 Limited Edition is priced similar to the standard model and retail at GBP 18,345 in the UK. The Vivid Black coloured standard FDXR 114 is GBP 350 cheaper than other colour variant retailing at GBP 17,995.
In other news, Harley-Davidson has introduced multiple new initiatives that include online purchase, home deliveries of motorcycles, extended service warranties and a digital version of the Harley-Davidson’s riding skills development programme called ‘Passport to Freedom’ in view of the ongoing pandemic in India. Harley-Davidson has also pledged its support to the PM Cares fund for COVID-19 and many Harley Owners Group (HOG) members are involved in charitable activities for the same.
