Harley-Davidson Bronx & Pan America launch delayed to 2021

The CoronaVirus /Covid-19 pandemic has reached new levels, notoriously known for its infection rate more than 6 million people around the globe have been affected by the disease. Due to its nature of infection concerned authorities around the world have imposed mandatory lockdowns due to which the manufacturing plants and other operations have shut down completely. This shutdown has led to disruptions in launch timelines as well. Harley-Davidson was supposed to launch two new motorcycles in the market named Harley-Davidson Bronx a naked streetfighter and Harley-Davidson Pan-America, an adventure tourer based around the new Harley-Davidson Revolution Max engine, but the brand has updated it’s Future Vehicles’ tab and the earlier timeline which showed the motorcycles to be introduced in 2020 has now been changed to 2021.

The cause of delay is obviously the COVID-19 pandemic which has disrupted the supply chain network around the world and due to the shutdown of manufacturing facilities and showrooms the brand would want to clear up existing stock first before bringing new models into production. Partly the delay could also be related to the dropping of ‘More Roads to Harley’ programme from the recently changed, new senior management.

Talking about future vehicles, the Harley-Davidson Bronx features a rounded headlamp with LED peripheral daytime running lights, flyscreen style headlamp shroud, chiselled fuel tank, step-up seats, straight handlebars, rear-set footpegs, silver accented cylinder heads, side slung 2-into-1 exhaust, fully digital rounded instrumentation console, upside-down front forks, monoshock suspension on the rear, dual disc brakes and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Harley-Davidson Pan America comes with Adventure tourer styling featuring an upright front end with large rectangular headlamps, LED daytime running lights, headlight fairing, tall touring style windscreen, radiator shroud integrated crash bars, muscular fuel tank, step-up seats, upright handlebars with knuckle guards, mid-set footpegs, metal sump guard, silver accented engine, 2-into-1 upswept exhaust, long travel suspension, spoked rims and dual sport tyres.

Both the Bronx and the Pan America are powered by the brand’s upcoming ‘Harley-Davidson Revolution Max’ liquid-cooled 60-degree V-Twin mill with internal balancing technology. The Harley-Davidson ‘Pan America’ adventure touring motorcycle comes with a 1250cc displacement engine and the Harley-Davidson ‘Bronx’ streetfighter motorcycle which will get a 975cc version of the latest ‘Revolution Max’ engine family.
