Harley-Davidson has launched the new Electra Glide Revival in the brand’s new Icons Collection. Under the Icons Collection initiative, the American brand will be one or two limited edition models a year. The models launched under the Icons Collection will highlight classic American motorcycling style. Harley-Davidson will be selling only 1,500 serialized examples of the Electra Glide Revival, each priced at USD 29,199.
The Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Revival features batwing fairing, saddlebags on the rear and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. The silhouette of the motorcycle evokes the 1969 Classic, recreating the moment in time. The brand also offers a tri-tone paint and period-correct badging with the Electra Glide Revival.
The motorcycle features a timeless design language and classic 60’s styling. But features modern equipment such as Reflex Defensive Rider Systems, a full-colour touchscreen TFT screen with Apple Car Play. The motorcycle also features satellite navigation, smartphone connectivity and Boom! Box 6.5GT audio system. The Electra Glide Revival also features cruise control, lean-angle sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, engine braking control, electronically linked brakes and hill hold control.
The Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Revival comes with modern-day mechanical equipment such as 49mm Showa Dual Bending Valve front forks and remote preload-adjustable Showa shocks on the rear. The motorcycle also gets 16-inch Laced chrome steel wheels shod in Harley-Davidson whitewall tyres.
Powering the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Revival is a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. The 1,868cc pushrod-operated engine with overhead valves features self-adjusting hydraulic lifters and four valves per cylinder. The engine also comes with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and a 6-Speed Cruise Drive Mechanically actuated 10-plate wet clutch with Assist and Slip.
Harley-Davidson enters the adventure touring segment in the Indian market with the launch of the Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special. The motorcycles come with a price tag starting INR 16.90 lakh ex-showroom for the Pan America 1250 and INR 19.90 lakh ex-showroom for the Pan America 1250 Special. Both motorcycles will be available for sale at Harley-Davidson dealerships in India.
