The e-mobility division of Greaves Cotton Limited, Greaves Electric Mobility announced its 85% increase in sales numbers during Q2 FY2022. As one of the leading players in the E-2W and E-3W segments, the company has strong customer support. Thanks to its extensive product line, the company has anticipated a prosperous festive season, which sold over 5000 units in October. Due to the rise in demand for EVs, the company aims to bring customers towards its range of products.
Taking into consideration the meteoric rise in fuel prices, EVs are the nominal option for personal or commercial use. As it stands currently, an individual using INR 112 can travel up to 50 Km using a petrol-powered vehicle. Meanwhile, an EV enables an individual to travel up to 750 km while using the same amount of money. Understanding this perspective, Greaves has announced various festive offers and financing solutions on its products to keep the momentum going.
The company has ensured to design the products to provide long-distance coverage and a comfortable driving experience. The brand’s electric scooters cater to the masses, which includes working professionals and students. Adapting towards the EV change, small towns across India now realize the importance of savings and sustainability. Greaves Electric has shifted its manufacturing operation from Coimbatore to Ranipet despite the COVID-19 limitations set by the Government. Over the years, the company has sold a significant number of city speed scooters to the masses.
Recently, the company has tied up with companies such as Greaves Finance, HDFC Bank, Credit Fair, Shriram, Paytail, and SBI. This has been done to make EVs more affordable for the masses and increase their adoption in the country. Greaves Electric’s recently launched Magnus EX e-scooter provides an extended ARAI range of 121 km on one single charge. The large family-oriented comfortable scooter provides a total of 3 days after being fully charged.
Greaves Electric Mobility continues to develop an ecosystem focussing on choice, convenience, and experience. The company’s new multi-brand EV dealership- AutoEVMart, provides the latest models, establishes substantial financing and aftermarket support for its customers. The company sports a retail footprint of around 7,000+ touchpoints with 12,000 mechanics on standby. Along with having a dedicated on-call support team, the company provides personal electric mobility solutions for customers via Greaves Finance.
