The first electric Rolls-Royce, the Spectre, has set its wheels in India. The car was unveiled in October 2023 at the Rolls-Royce headquarters in England. It is the world’s first all-electric super coupe in the luxury segment.
The Spectre is a two-door coupe that offers a versatile and thrilling riding experience on various terrains. It features a new style that combines compact adventure-style usability with an imposing silhouette. The Spectre is powered by a 102 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 530 km as per the WLTP cycle on a full charge. It has dual electric motors that generate a combined power of 577 bhp and 900 Nm of torque, enabling the Spectre to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds. It also has a switchable Torque Control system that manages rear wheel traction.
The Spectre is priced at ₹7.5 crore (ex-showroom New Delhi) and will come to India as a completely built-up unit (CBU). It will come with a 4-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty for the vehicle and a 10-year warranty for the battery pack. While only the bookings for the car have been opened now, the first Spectre will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Spectre is the first electric luxury car in India and has no direct rivals. It is a part of Rolls-Royce’s ambitious plan to go completely electric by 2030. Roll Royce intends to bring in more electric cars soon, including the Ghost, the Phantom, and the Cullinan.
