Free fast charging for Ather scooters till 30th June, 2022

Ather Energy extends the date of free fast-charging. Earlier, the company had announced that they would offer free charging only till 30th December 2021. But now the company has decided to extend the date to 30th June 2022. But this is only applicable for Bengaluru and Chennai. Ather Grid, as Ather likes to call its charging stations, will play an important role in expanding Ather’s share in the market. Ather Grid 2.0, which was launched in November last month, aims to offer christened fast-charging solutions. This charging infrastructure will serve both two-wheeler and four-wheeler electric vehicles. In addition to this, these charging stations will also have over-the-air updates that will help Ather manage bugs and performance fixes.

What Is Ather Grid 2.0?

Ather Grid 2.0 is a more enhanced charging solution than Ather Grid. This next-generation charging infrastructure has some enhanced features and performance improvements. Moreover, these new fast-chargers also offer much better durability. Ather mentioned that these new generations chargers are more suitable for India’s extreme environmental conditions. To improve longevity, Ather Energy claims that Ather Grid 2.0 uses more durable materials.

Furthermore, Ather Energy will also feature a modular design that will help support upscaling. The company has put on a target to add 500 charging stations across the country by the end of FY22. With the growing development in the e-mobility domain, this new Ather Grid 2.0 will also support future fast-charging rates.

Other Updates

Recently, Ather made its connector design available for all other proprietors. This will allow more customers to use Ather’s charging station and increase its useability. The need of the hour right now is to build a wide and robust charging infrastructure. Ather, along with other e-mobility companies, are working hard to enhance their services. Range anxiety is the most important aspect associated with electric vehicles. And hence, the top priority is to mitigate this risk and enhance the customer service experience.
