Today, Ford has inaugurated its parts and distribution centre in Kolkata. This is Ford’s fourth parts distribution centre along with centres in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. This move has been taken to enable faster distribution of spare parts pan India, and now, Ford has a distribution centre in all four sectors.
This facility is 3,200 sq.m. in size. The new warehouse is expected to result in better turnaround time for delivery of parts and accessories to Ford dealerships in the East and North Eastern pars of India. This facility will serve 28 dealer locations in this region.
Ford currently has five products in its Indian line-up, the Figo, Classic, Fiesta, Endeavour and the EcoSport. In India, Ford’s businesses employ around 11,500 people.
