Ford planning to sell cars in India again?

Written by News Team

In an interesting development, Ford has registered a new design patent for the Endeavour in India. This comes after Ford canceled its Chennai plant sale to the JSW group just a few weeks ago. Ford India had withdrawn sales from the Indian market in 2021.

Jobs, Designs, and Endeavours

So, here’s the deets: Ford is dropping hints left and right. First, they ditched the plant sale idea, and now they’re cooking up a storm with a new-gen Endeavour SUV. They’ve scrapped the original plan and are going all out with cool designs for the next-gen Endeavour. This move shouts loud and clear that Ford is dead serious about making a splash in the Indian car game once again.

And wait for it – they’re not just polishing their SUVs, they’re also building a team. Yep, Ford India is on a hiring spree. Positions like ‘Senior Engineer – PD (Body Exterior),’ ‘ADAS Feature Owner,’ and ‘Manufacturing Digital Transformation Integration Architect Manager’ are up for grabs.

Say Hello to the New Endeavour – Ford’s Fortuner Buster!

The new Endeavour is a beast ready to take on anything, especially the Fortuner. It’s got a fresh look with bigger headlamps, fancy DRLs, a new grille, and a tailgate makeover. Picture this – 21-inch alloy wheels giving it a beastly road presence. Inside, it’s a tech paradise with a huge 12-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument screen up to 12.4 inches, and a swanky new steering wheel. Plus, they’ve jazzed up the interior with premium upholstery, making it feel like a luxury ride.

Under the hood, Ford’s packing some serious power. We might get a 2.0-litre turbo or a 2.0-litre Bi-turbo diesel engine. The turbo pumps out 170 PS power and 405 Nm torque, while the Bi-turbo goes all out with 210 PS power and 500 Nm torque.

The new Endeavour comes loaded with tech like wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, USB charging, and a 360° camera for the perfect parking game. For safety, Ford’s got you covered with blind spot info, emergency braking, lane-keeping, airbags, and even active park assist.

Well, rumours or not, we are excited that there is some action happening in the Ford India camp. We would like to see the new Endeavour come to life in India along with an updated version of our beloved EcoSport.
