MY24 Hyundai Creta facelift fully revealed in spy shots

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Hyundai is gearing up to launch the new Creta in the Indian market. The brand will be introducing the new facelift version on January 16th. New reports also suggest that the new Creta has started arriving at dealerships already. Thanks to spy shots we now also get a sneak peak at the exterior design of the upcoming facelift.

2024 Hyundai Creta – Exterior Design

Hyundai is introducing a completely redesigned front fascia as well as the rear. However, spy shots reveal that the SUV remains the same from the side, except for a new alloy wheel design. Expect minor changes to the side such as updates to the wheel arches and door handles.

The facelift version features a rectangular grille with L-shaped DRLs and bumper mounted headlamps. The front end overall comes with a boxy design which is likely to attract more buyers in India. On the rear, the Creta facelift appears to get a connected LED lightbar and light signatures similar to the front.

The current model of the Creta has quite a polarising design. While, the SUV is quirky enough for the Asian markets, the Indian buyers still prefer the boxy design when it comes to SUVs. Nonetheless, Creta is one of the brand’s bestsellers with more than a Million units sold in both India as well as exports to the international markets.

2024 Hyundai Creta – Engine

In addition to the design facelift, the brand is also likely to introduce a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The engine already does duty on the new Seltos and makes 160 PS/253 Nm of output. In addition to the new engine, the brand is likely to continue with the 1.5-litre NA petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel motors. Furthermore, the brand is also likely to offer multiple gearbox options such as a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, 6-speed iVT (clutches manual) and a 7-speed Dual Clutch Automatic.
