Ford India offering 6 years / 1.5 lakh km extended warranty

To ensure complete peace of mind to its customers and boost its sales during the festive season Ford India is offering Ford Protect Extended Warranty which offers almost all the coverages from the Factory Warranty, protecting the customer from unexpected expenses related to Mechanical and Electrical failures under normal use and maintenance. The Ford Protect Extended Warranty can be prolonged by one year, two years or three years for a nominal amount, anytime before your vehicle crosses the Factory warranty period.

The Ford Protect Extended Warranty covers all mechanical and electrical failures, labour above repairs and offers benefits such as protection from the risk of manufacturing and material defects, no out of pocket expenses, non-stop coverage, genuine parts and service, one-time payment protecting customers from inflation and from rising costs of parts and labour, and the warranty is transferable when the vehicle is sold giving it a better resale value. 

The new extended warranty is available on both BS4 and BS6 Ford models and even includes the CBU import Ford Mustang in the BS4 avatar. Other Ford cars such as the Figo, Freestyle, Aspire, EcoSport and the Endeavour are also covered in the extended warranty program and prices on the warranty vary according to the model and year. For example, on the BS4 Diesel Ford EcoSport, Extended Warranty Top up from 3rd year or 100,000 Kms to 4th yr or 100,000 Kms will cost INR 15,699 and Extended Warranty Top up from 4th year or 100,000 Kms to 5th yr or 100,000 Kms will cost INR 16,200. Also, on the Ford Endeavour BS6 Extended Warranty + Roadside Assistance for the 4th, 5th & 6th Year or 150,000 Kms if purchased within 0 ~ 90 Days costs INR 95,690 and 1 ~ 3 years cost 125,499. 

It is important to note that the Extended Warranty does not cover routine maintenance service, including oil and fluid changes, cleaning of injectors, clutch and valve clearances, headlight aiming, retightening, wheel balancing, adjustments of the ignition timing, wheel alignment and tyre rotation. The extended warranty also does not cover any consumables that require periodic maintenance such as lubricants, fuel filters, air filters, oil filters, pollen filter, spark plugs, rubber hoses, brake pads, rubber belts, wiper blades, bulbs, tyres, paintwork, panel, glass components, decorative components etc.
