Force Motors reveals T1N minibus with diesel & electric motor options

Force Motors which is one of the most popular commercial vehicle company in India revealed their new T1N project. This new generation of shared mobility vehicle has been developed completely in-house and is expected to make a market debut by the end of 2020. Force Motors revealed that the new T1N project minibus will be offering the best convenience, passenger comfort and meet safety standards as per international markets. The ground work for the Force T1N started 4 years ago and now, the brand has revealed 2 prototypes out of which one comes with a BS6 diesel engine and the other gets an electric drivetrain. The same platform can support an ICE as well as an electric motor.

The T1N minibus will be able to meet crash and rollover compliance and will come with an airbag for the driver and co-driver; regardless of the fact that the regulation does not demand for it. The T1N will also feature ventilated disc brakes on all-four wheels and will come with ABS. For safety enhancements, the T1N will get EBD, ESP and EDTC.

More than 100 people have worked on the T1N project and took consultation from experts from around the world for the platform and performance. The Force T1N has been developed with global markets kept in mind which include ASEAN, South America, Africa and Middle East. This would be much more affordable for these markets unlike expensive European and American offerings.

The Force T1N is the first such product by any Indian manufacturer to come up with a monocoque panel van platform. The features on the T1N include LED DRLs, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps and is made up of a 2-box construction which will allow for good cabin comfort reducing the NVH. The T1N will also bring to the segment for the first time a front suspension which is independent and with transverse parabolic springs.

The Force T1N will get a BS6 CRDe diesel engine producing up to 350 Nm of torque and a CNG variant as well. The minibus will also get an electric drivetrain, but details were not shared. The Force T1N is now in the final stages of testing, validation and homologation.
