Written by Parichay Malvankar

Force Motors has launched the new top variant for their Gurkha SUV. An arch rival to the likes of Mahindra Thar, the new top trim is called Gurkha Xtreme.

The Force Gurkha Xtreme comes powered by the Mercedes OM611 diesel engine which produces 140 HP of power and 321 Nm of torque. The brand claims that they have worked on the NVH levels of this version, and it comes with a dual mass flywheel. The Gurkha Xtreme also gets a new transfer case, new live rigid axle for the front wheels and also has a hub lock provision for the front axles. This will help in saving fuel and also reduce the drivetrain fatigue when driving in 2WD mode.

The Gurkha Xtreme is the only car in its class to come with differential locks on both front and rear axles.

Force Motors proudly boasts that the Gurkha is styled on the lines of the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon.

The Gurkha Xtreme has LED indicators on the bonner, new front fascia, new steel bumpers, chrome finished snorkel, body cladding, new graphics, front fog lamps, slip resistant footboard and all-terrain tubeless tyres.
