Force Motors brings in the 10-seater Citiline MUV. Priced generously at INR 15.93 lakh (ex-showroom), this is perfect for the people movement. The MUV shares its platform with the Trax Cruiser, which retails as a commercial vehicle.

Available Only As Commercial Vehicle For MH and DL

In terms of dimension, Force Citiline measures 5,120mm in length. It equips a Mercedes-derived 2.6-litre diesel engine. As it stands, Citiline does not qualify in Maharashtra as a private vehicle. This is because the state rules allow for only up to 8 seaters to be registered as a private vehicle. Similarly, Citiline also faces the same issue in Delhi. But we understand that Citiline will retail as a private vehicle in other states.

Force Citiline MPV Key Highlights

Force Citiline MPV exteriors share its basic design with the Trax Cruiser. But there are some key differences. First is Citiline’s grille and front bumper which we see are done in body colour. The MPV also gets a round Citiline logo on the grille. This is exactly how we see the respective logos on the Force Gurkha and Urbania.

Over the sides, there are not many differences between the two MUVs. Coming to the rear end, apart from a new bumper and a Citiline badge, both MUVs look exactly the same.

On the Inside, the main difference is the seating capacity. Citiline can seat up to 10 passengers including the driver. The MPV benefits from captain’s chairs in the third row, a bench in the second row, and then another bench in the fourth row. Interestingly, the second row also gets a 60:40 split feature for entry into the last two seats.

The key difference between the Citiline and the Trax Cruiser is the seating matrix. Trax Cruiser got two side-facing jump seats behind the second row. The Citiline’s interior is pretty rudimentary and does not even get an infotainment system. But it does get roof-mounted air conditioning vents for the rear passengers.

Powertrain And Safety Features

As mentioned the Mercedes-Benz-derived 2.6-litre diesel engine powers the Citiline. The performance rating of the motor stands at 91 HP and 250 Nm of torque. It comes matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Citiline also benefits from an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).
