Pune-headquartered Force Motors has launched the new 2021 Force Gurkha SUV with a sticker price of INR 13.59 lakh ex-showroom. The Force Gurkha is the first choice of off-road enthusiasts. The utilitarian vehicle also gets completely revamped exteriors and interiors in the new avatar and a new BS6 compliant engine. This has transformed the Gurkha from being just an off-road friendly utilitarian vehicle to an all-out lifestyle car.
The brand also announced that the bookings on the 2021 Force Gurkha are now open. Customers can visit the nearest Force Motors showroom and book their Gurkha by putting down an amount of INR 25,000. The brand also revealed that the planned deliveries for the Gurkha commence from the week following the Dussehra.
In addition to this, Force Motors offers the segment-best warranty of 1.5-lakh km/3-year and four free services. The brand also announced that brand has joined hands with Auto Europa India that has over 6,200 touchpoints for on-road assistance on free of charge basis for the first year. With the new RSA and warranty, Force Motors will be able to ensure quicker assistance to customers even in remote areas. The brand also has dedicated service bays, a customer lounge and company trained technicians, especially for Gurkha customers at all authorised dealerships.
The Force Gurkha comes with the iconic G-Wagen inspired silhouette. The design philosophy has been carry forwarded from the previous generation Gurkha. But Force Motors has built the 2021 Gurkha from a ground-up modular architecture platform. The new Gurkha is not just dynamic in design but also on the tarmac as well as off the road.
The SUV features rounded headlamps with, squared-off body design with butch and brawny looks. The SUV now features a new glasshouse, new bumper and grille, as well as a completely redesigned tail section. The new glasshouse boasts of being the best-in-class in terms of all-around visibility. The longer and wider body also allows for roomier interiors and 500-litres of boot space. The SUV features captain seats on all four seating positions and claims the best-in-class legroom, headroom, and elbow room. The SUV also offers the highest driving position in the segment.
The Force Gurkha features a 4×4 drivetrain that enables the car to traverse over any terrain with ease. The Force Gurkha comes with a factory-fitted air intake snorkel that allows the Gurkha to wade through 700 mm of water. The Gurkha also comes with manually operated, positive locking, mechanical differential locks on all four wheels. This allows the SUV to crawl up gradients of 35 degrees.
Powering the Force Gurkha is an FM 2.6-litre CRCD Mercedes-Benz derived BS6 compliant diesel engine. The oil motor produces 91 Hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The torquey diesel engine is paired to a G28 5-speed manual synchromesh gearbox. The Force Gurkha measures 4116mm in length, 1812mm in width, 2075mm in height and comes with a wheelbase of 2400mm.
The Force Gurkha will come with a palette of five colours – White, Red, Orange, Green and Grey. The car will be available with a range of official accessories which includes alloy wheels, all-terrain tyres, roof-rack, roof-rails etc. Customers can purchase these accessories across all Force dealerships.
