Flagship Ducati Panigale V4 sold out for 2019 in India

The gorgeous Panigale V4, an offering from Ducati that will make every biker’s heart melt has been sold out in India. Technologically it is one of the most special motorcycles in the market along with a beautiful design from the Italian superbike brand. The Panigale V4 is the brand’s flagship model and comes in V4S, V4R and V4 Speciale variants.

The bike features a 4-cylinder engine derived from the MotoGP Ducati Desmosedici and is the first mass-produced motorcycle to come in a 4-cylinder configuration. The Desmosedici Stradale engine features a 4-cylinder, 90 degree in a ‘V’ layout which eliminates the need for a crank balancer and has a reverse rotating crankshaft that reduces the gyroscopic effect making the bike more agile and it also helps to reduce wheelie and rear lift-up tendencies. The Ducati V4 Panigale is powered by a 1,103cc, 90 degree, V-4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a Desmodromically operated 4 valve/cylinder that produces 214 HP of power @ 13,000 RPM and 124 Nm of torque @ 10,000 RPM coupled to a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a Ducati Quick Shifter (DQS) along with a hydraulically controlled slipper assist clutch.

The chassis on the bike is an aluminium alloy ‘Front Frame’ and rides on 43mm fully adjustable Showa upside-down forks at the front and a fully adjustable Sachs unit on the aluminium single-sided swingarm. Braking duties are performed by twin 330mm semi-floating disc with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc Stylema 4-piston calipers on the front. The rear wheel has a 245mm disc with 2-piston caliper and the bike is equipped with Bosch Cornering ABS EVO. The Panigale V4 weighs 198kg (Kerb).
