Fisker cars to launch in India by 2024

American electric vehicle manufacturer, Fisker has announced that the brand is officially entering the Indian market. The Southern California company has established its India headquarters in the City of Hyderabad, Telangana, for its initial operations. Fisker broke the news through the micro-blogging site Twitter, revealing that the company is currently hiring for its India operations.

Fisker currently has two electric vehicles in its portfolio – Ocean and Pear. Commencing its India operations, the brand is likely to enter with the Ocean electric car. The Fisker is likely to offer the Ocean EV in four trims – Fisker Ocean Sport, Fisker Ocean Ultra, Fisker Ocean Extreme and Fisker Ocean One. In the international market, the Fisker Ocean starts with a price tag of GBP 34,990 MSRP, which roughly translates to INR 35 lakh ex-showroom. The Fisker Ocean is likely to make its debut in 2024. 

Fisker Ocean – Highlights

The Fisker Ocean electric SUV features butch yet futuristic design language along with an aggressive front grille. The car comes with trapezoidal wheel arches, a progressive roofline and a full-length SolarSky roof. The car also features LED headlights and taillights. The Ocean comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drivetrain featuring rear disconnect smart traction control. Thanks to the advanced powertrain, the Fisker Ocean can return a range of 434 km to 627 km on a single charge, depending on the variant. The SUV also comes with multiple driving modes called Earth and Fun. 

Jobs at Fisker Inc. 

Fisker has announced that the brand is currently hiring frontend and backend developers as well as data scientists. The brand also revealed that the company is looking out for salesforce and SAP experts, integration developers, etc. Also, Fisker Inc. is onboarding machine learning, embedded electronics and vehicle simulation experts.
