So an all-new motorcycle from a new brand has entered the Indian market. The Kinetic group owned Motoroyale has launched the FB Mondial HPS 300 motorcycle in India. Also known as Hipster 300, this HPS 300 has been priced at INR 3.37 lakh ex-showroom. The bike was first revealed at EICMA in 2017.
The question is, who will buy one? The brand awareness for FB Mondial at the moment is very low.
Powering the HPS 300 is a 249cc, liquid-cooled, FI motor producing 25 HP of power and 22 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. This is an engine sourced from Piaggio. One can say that this bike is a rival to the KTM Duke 250 and the likes.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 features USD from works with 41mm diameter, dual rear shock absorbers, ABS with front & rear disc brakes. The bike rides on spoked rims with knobby tyres. What’s interesting is the weight, rated at 135 kg dry.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 is brought to India via CKD route. Although exclusive, this is an expensive motorcycle.
