Pune-headquartered electric mobility company EVTRIC has launched two new electric scooters in India. Both the scooters are positioned in the low-speed category and target the affordable electric mobility market. The two new scooters are EVTRIC Axis and EVTRIC Ride. The brand has announced that the EVTRIC Axis will come with a sticker price of INR 64,994 ex-showroom. On the other hand, the EVTRIC Ride comes with a price of INR 67,996 ex-showroom. Both the Axis and Ride are in line with the ongoing e-mobility initiative in India to reduce air pollution and decrease oil consumption in the local market.
The EVTRIC Axis is targeted towards the Generation Z crowd and comes with four colour options. The brand offers Mercury white, Persian red, Lemon yellow, and Emperor grey body colours on the Axis electric scooter. On the other hand, the Ride comes with a more mature colour palette, including Deep Cerulean Blue, Persian Red, Sliver, Nobel Grey, and Mercury White.
The EVTRIC Axis comes with a design language that would appeal the young buyers. The brand is targetting college students and fashionable members of the family that would like to use the e-scooter for last-mile mobility. The Axis features a quirky yet minimalist design language, including a wide fascia, generous seat and footboard, alloy wheels, pillion backrest, a small flyscreen, etc. The Ride, on the other hand, comes with a more family-oriented design and more seating space.
Both the scooters come with features such as LED headlamps, 12-inch tubeless tyre and alloy wheels, side stand sensor, a high 190mm ground clearance, Robotic welding on the chassis, reverse park assist function and a lot more. Apart from the range of features, the e-scooters also come with a 2+ years Battery warranty as standard.
The EVTRIC Axis and Ride come with a 250W electric motor capable of propelling the Axis and Ride to a top speed of 25 kmph. The electric scooters claim a range of 75 km on a single charge. The e-scooters also boast that they can charge to 80% SOC in just 3.5 hours. The scooter is capable of carrying a payload of 150 kg.
Bookings on both the Axis and Ride will open online and offline with zero booking amount on the company’s official website. The EVTRIC Axis and Ride scooter will be delivered in 7 cities including – Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Tirupati, and Hyderabad in the first phase. In addition to this, the brand plans to expand to all 28 states and UTs in 6 months time.
