Every MG Hector sold to contribute towards Girl Child Education

British car brand MG (Morris Garages) Motor India has commenced contribution towards girl child education in India. The brand will partner with IIMPACT NGO and contribute towards one month’s education of every girl child from each MG Hector SUV sold in India.

The IIMPACT NGO is committed to providing education young girls in remote villages across India. The NGO will achieve this through its learning centres and MG has adopted and will be supporting 30 such learning centres, to begin with. As part of the company’s commitment towards gender diversity and community building MG Motor India plans to substantially increase the number of learning centre it supports, every year as the scale of its operations grows.

This initiative from the brand shows that the company is not only responsible as a corporate citizen but it is also working towards creating a better future for girls by and empowering them especially those who come from the underprivileged backgrounds of the society. 

MG India is trying to set benchmark standards and the brand highlights upon gender diversity with 32% female in the company’s total workforce with plans to further increase the number of women working in the company, in the near future. In 2018, MG India collaborated with ‘The Better India’, honouring six women trailblazers that inspired change in different communities across the country. In November 2018 the brand also joined hands with TRAX NGO to launch its road safety initiative, implemented in 257 schools in Faridabad and Gurugram reshaping over 3,00,000 school students.

MG has recently launched the Hector SUV in India with an introductory price of INR 12.18 lakh ex-showroom, India. The MG Hector comes with a host of segment-first and biggest-in-segment features. The car comes in three fuel option to choose from Diesel, Petrol and Petrol with mild-hybrid technology. In terms of safety, the MG Hector gets 6 Airbags, ABS+EBD+Brake assist, ESP, hill hold control, 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, electronic parking brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchoring, etc.
