With the demand for EVs increasingly as we write this, we are witnessing a host of new launches pretty much every day. With the business opportunity in this segment now very lucrative, there are numerous new companies entering the EV business. One such company is EVeium, which is an EV scooter startup brand and also a subsidiary brand of Ellysium Automotives, the Auto arm of United Arab Emirates-based company META4 Group.
The EV maker recently announced the introduction of three new products to its portfolio. This includes Cosmo, Czar and Comet. All these scooters fall under the high-speed category. In this article, we will briefly discuss Cosmo. The company also mentioned that interested customers can book the Cosmo by paying a booking amount of INR 999. Bookings will start on August 8 2022, at EVeium showrooms in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Calicut.
Cosmo – What Is It?
Priced at INR 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom), this is the entry point to the EVeium brand. The company claims a riding range of over 80 km on a single charge. The top of the scooter is also set at a generous 65 kmph. The EVeium Cosmo uses a Lithium-ion 72V and 30Ah battery. The brand is claiming that it takes 4 hrs to completely charge up the battery. Using a 2000 w motor, we also expect a decent performance from the scooter.
The exterior design also reveals that the scooter looks pretty neat without sharp lines, cuts, or creases. The flat footboard is also of immense value, as it adds to the practicality. Braking power comes from a disc setup at the front and a drum at the rear. Furthermore, customers will also have a wide range of colour options to choose from. These include Bright Black, Cherry Red, Lemon Yellow, White, Blue, and Grey.
